Leicestershire Seniors Foursomes Knockout - Conditions of Competition (Rule 33.1)

Any member of the L&RGU Seniors Section is eligible to enter the competition.
Players may enter the competition via the Seniors Notice board before the notified closing date.
The Seniors Captain will make the draw and arrange dates by which all the various rounds are to be played.
The competition is played on a match play basis from the yellow tees with a handicap limit of 28. Allowance ½ of the aggregate handicap of the partners.
All matches to be played to a finish over 18 holes. In the event of matches being all square after 18 holes, play will continue from the starting hole until a hole is won.
Matches may start from any mutually agreed tee although it is recommended that the first tee be used whenever possible.
If unplayable conditions occur the game may be discontinued by mutual agreement under Rule 6-8a.
It is the duty of both teams to arrange the match. Both teams MUST supply contact telephone numbers on the competition sheet when the first round draw is published.
Both teams are then responsible for making contact.
Those who fail to supply the information in time will be scratched from the event. If both teams fail to do this in sufficient time then BOTH will be disqualified.
The players must offer three dates before the closing date of the stipulated round, one being at the weekend -
(although it must be remembered that some players at this stage as well as in the later (county-wide) stages may well be five-day members and will need special dispensation to play on a Saturday or Sunday).
If none of the dates can be agreed the players must notify the Seniors Captain whose decision on any dispute will be final.
Any match not being played by the stipulated date and with no team having contacted the Senior Captain will result in both teams being disqualified from the competition.
Winners go through to the County Seniors Foursomes interclub competition.
