President's Cup (Pairs Knockout)		Prizes: Winners, Runners-up and Losing semi-finalists.
Any full member is eligible to enter the competition.
Players may enter via the Professional's shop before the notified closing date.
The Committee will make the draw and arrange dates by which all the various rounds are to be played.
The Committee will also arrange the final and provide a referee.
The competition is played on a match play basis with a handicap limit of 28.
All matches to be played to current handicap, back marker to concede strokes to the other
three players based upon 3/4 of the difference between the full handicaps.
All matches to be played to a finish over 18 holes.
If still tied after 18 holes, "sudden death" will decide the winner.
In the event of matches being all square after 18 holes, play will continue from the starting hole until a match is won.
Matches may start from any mutually agreed tee although the Committee recommends the 1st tee whenever possible.
If unplayable conditions occur the game may be discontinued by mutual agreement under Rule 6-8a.
It is the duty of both teams to arrange the match.
Both teams MUST supply a contact telephone numbers on the competition sheet when the first round draw is published.
Both parties are then responsible for making contact.
Those who fail to supply the information in time will be scratched from the event.
If both parties fail to do this in sufficient time then BOTH will be disqualified.
The teams must offer three dates before the closing date of the stipulated round, one being a Saturday and one a Sunday.
If none of the dates can be agreed the teams must notify the Committee whose decision on any dispute will be final.
Any match not being played by the stipulated date and with no team having contacted the Committee,
will result in both teams being disqualified from the competition.
Please note that those Saturdays and Sundays when other competitions are running should be avoided.
However, if there is sufficient time to play after the last tee-off time this will be acceptable.
