The golf club benefits from a very dedicated and highly
qualified course management team, the full team work on the
course for five days a week and additionally provide
course management services at the weekends when
appropriate. During the primary growing season, the
greens are cut every day and the fairways and tees,
twice a week.

The team utilise some
of the best tools and machinery available in order to
keep the course in top condition throughout the year,
although as Francis admits, being founded on heavy clay
soil does present a unique set of challenges throughout
the seasons, especially in summer where the land becomes
very dry and quickly hardens, and in the winter where
very much the opposite is true.
With the exception of
his trainee staff, Francis Kempster and his team have all gained
formal qualifications in Greenkeeping and Sports Turf
Management.
