This is the first of
consecutive par 5's. The view from the tee is
dominated
by a large tree on the right. Beyond that, on
either side of the fairway, there are two mounds both
covered in trees. The one on the left is known as
"Treasure Island".
A well struck tee shot
between the mounds, ideally with a little draw, will set
up the possibility of reaching the green in two for the
bigger hitters.
Otherwise, a mid iron
will leave the player facing a pitch to a well guarded
green with a moderately narrow entrance. The putting
surface here is relatively flat.
Pro's Tip:
An accurate drive positioned between the two mounds is
required here. A well struck second shot should set up a
good birdie chance. |
