The long 5th hole is
a par 5 that is reachable in two for only the longest
ball strikers. The majority will lay up short of
the lateral water hazard which is only a short wedge
distance from the green.
A solid drive between the
large tree on the right and a small copse on the left
will leave a good view of the remainder of the hole.
The second shot will present a sloping downward stance
which adds to the difficulty of the hole.
Two large bunkers
guard the front of the green, and once again, the player
who takes enough club to clear these will have the best
opportunity of a birdie putt.
Pro's Tip: A
long par five, which most golfers would not reach in
two. So a good second shot short of the ditch can
set up a lofted approach. |
