GLEN GORSE GOLF CLUB

TROLLEY POLICY

To All Members

Unfortunately it’s fast approaching the time of year when the weather will play a major part in dictating not only whether we want to play golf but what we should or can use when on the course. We have for some time used the colour coding system of either requesting the type of equipment that is on the course or at the last alternative banning the use of all trolleys (power and pull types). We will this year be using the same policy and the code of the day will be part of the daily message put out by Greens staff each morning (07947975164).

The success of this policy is evident in the quality of the course this last year and we would ask that you all again this winter follow the daily code that is in operation. We also want as many of you to have the opportunity to play and enjoy the facilities that are available and recognise that some of us would not be able to do this if the only option available was to carry our bags.

Last year we introduced a system where members who for various reasons could NOT carry were given a dispensation to use either a pull or power trolley regardless of conditions and were issued with a coloured bag tag indicating that facility. We will use that system again this year and ask that all those members who wish to avail themselves of this opportunity again speak to or write to Jenny James, Francis Kempster or Alistair Sutton outlining their reason for wanting to use a trolley.

The colour in use will be different to last year so it is important that those who had a tag last year re-apply for this facility. Your cooperation and assistance in operating this necessary condition is appreciated.

Alistair Sutton - Course Chairman

Francis Kempster - Course Superintendant
